Inland was contracted directly by Orbis Engineering to engineer, fabricate, and install screw piles for the Hut 8 Bitcoin Mining Facility in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Building on our successful work at the adjacent Unit 16 Power Plant, our team quickly developed a cost-effective and durable piling design suited to the site’s challenging soil conditions.
The project included 709 piles supporting 40 modular Block Box data centers, transformers, a pipe rack, and a communications tower, along with full cutting and capping services.
Thanks to our engineering expertise and experience in the area, the piling work was completed ahead of schedule and on budget, helping Hut 8 bring their facility online quickly in a highly competitive industry.
The entire project was finished two months ahead of the original timeline, and we are proud to have played a key role in its success.
