Inland was contracted directly by Orbis Engineering to engineer, fabricate and install 709 screw piles for the Hut 8 facility in Medicine Hat, Alberta — supporting 40 modular data centre units, transformers, a pipe rack and a communications tower. It finished two months ahead of schedule, following related earlier work at the adjacent Unit 16 Power Plant.

Yes. Screw piles perform well in clay, soft soils, backfill and high-moisture ground, bypassing weak surface material to anchor into stronger layers below. The True Pitch helix is designed to cut cleanly through frozen and dense soil rather than auger through it.
